Wholesome Salad Recipe by Natures Trinity
Ingredients
- 400 grams tin of Chickpeas
- A handful of pre-packaged mixed leafs
- Half a Zucchini
- One Baby Carrot
- Half a Cucumber
- One Brown Skinned Onion
- Four Whole Baby Beetroots
- Two Florets of Cauliflower
Method to make this Wholesome Salad recipe:
Empty the chickpeas into a colander and rinse with water until it becomes clear. Place the chickpeas into a mixing bowl.
Place a handful of pre-packaged mixed leaves into the bowl.
Grate the following vegetables on the elongated holes on the grater:
- Baby carrots
- Half a cucumber
- Half a zucchini
Do not remove the skins from the carrot, cucumber and zucchini, however, remove the skin from the onion.
The content of these vegetables will release some water into the bowl. Grate the two florets of the cauliflower and add it into the mixing pot. Dice the onion to small pieces and add to the salad mix.
Dressing:
- One Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- One teaspoon of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
- Half a teaspoon of brown sugar
- Half a level teaspoon of Himalayan Pink Salt
Mix all these ingredients together before pouring into the bowl. Mix the salad evenly to ensure the ingredients get covered by this dressing.
P.S.
I have not included salt or pepper to this recipe because the ingredients that come in tins as in chickpeas and whole
baby beetroots all contain salt (sodium).
The salt and pepper is your choice – try it first without these condiments and then add the pepper and more salt if required.
