Drip Tray

Drip Tray Drip Tray

First, I will discuss the metal drip tray – in less than a week; I found that the bottom of this tray rusted. I cleaned it with a scourer, soap, and hot water to remove the rust.

It was fine for a week, and shortly after, the rust appeared again. I thought cleaning would become a weekly chore.

I had an idea of waterproofing it by rubbing some vegetable oil over where I would position the plates, utensils and pots for drip drying.

I purchased a drip towel to capture any drip on the metal plate beneath it. The metal plate is the extension to the kitchen sink used as a drying area for dishes.

Since I have taken these precautions, I can do this chore once a month.

Remember to re-apply the vegetable oil; only use a little at a time.

Perpetual Shine

How do you get a perpetual shine to your car by using only a bucket of hot water, including some oil essences, which I discovered worked so well by producing this perpetual shine?

Essence ingredients:
Three drops of Tea Tree Oil
Half a capful of Eucalyptus Oil

When your car stops beading after rainfall, it will require another application.

The water needs to be hot to spread the oil evenly; if it is cold, it will not.

In between washes, load the soft cloth with the hot water, { not boiling water}, place it on the car’s roof and squeeze the excess of liquid on the top by gently moving the water across the expanse of the vehicle roof so the dirt will not scratch the paintwork.

Use a downward movement and wash the dirt from the areas between the roof and towards the bottom.

Once done, apply to the tyres and hub caps.

I tried this application on my vehicle, and as you can see from the photographs, ‘before and after.’ how clean and shiny it is.
