Stop Nail Biting – How to Break the Habit as an Adult

Stop Nail Biting

Stop nail biting!

It’s much easier said than done! In this article you’ll discover three different ways to overcome this bad habit…

What is the underlying cause of nail biting and how can one break the habit as an adult?

It could be due to emotional stress, a mental disorder, or being anxious about something.

To keep those fingers away from your mouth, I suggest you take up another hobby which will engage your hands, and you will not think about chewing your nails.

Here are three examples you might like to try to stop nail biting:

1. You may have a mineral and vitamin deficiency, and this is the way your body is indicating to you that you need to eat something that will provide your body with the missing nutrients, For more information email me here.

2. Another solution may be to take up gardening, crafts, knitting, painting, drawing, colouring books that are now available for adults.

With these colouring books, you can spend up to one and a half hours or more on creating the most beautiful combinations of colours and when you finish you can remove the page, get it framed and hang it on your wall. How good is that!

3. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) which is available from Doctor Mercola’s website for free.

I personally didn’t do this course – my good friend did it and she suggested it.

My account about bad habits one of them being nail biting from a very young age to adult.

I suffered from anxiety attacks, and this caused me to bite my nails. Over the years I found no solution to my problem. I had heard about a nail polish that could help me to stop and purchased it – I thought this would be the answer.

It did not take me long, and I was back in the habit again. My next line of interest came when a friend of mine who had a hobby in ceramics, and I asked her whether she would teach me; she did, and in the years that followed my nail biting habit disappeared and to date I have not bitten my nails.

So, what does this tell you? Take up another interest that will keep your hands busy, and you will forget to chew your nails this will give them a chance to grow out and become beautiful again. And or, you may be deficient in nutrients that your body is seeking.

I hope this advice will help you to stop nail biting for any of the alternatives mentioned above.
