I feed my dog with a plastic fork

First of all, if you have a dog that is not a fussy eater and eats everything put in front of him or her, you have no worries.

Come, Zara, my, Siberian Husky of 4 1/2 years and now turned 11 years she is the fussiest eater I have ever come to know. All my other rescues were not as hard to feed as Zara.

I made inquiries with people who knew the breed and received some ideas of what brands of food and cooked food their dogs liked, and I implemented those foods to my dogs’ diet. She did not like this food, either!

Other advice to me was to leave her dog food in the bowl until she gets hungry and she will eat it. Excellent information, but, it did not work out as planned with Zara. I knew she wanted to eat, but she was not attracted to the smell coming out of the bowl, and neither was I.

I was the one that gave in first and threw her food out. In the meantime, I contacted Zara’s Veterinary as he was an expert in treating this breed for many years. I asked his advice on what food would be best to give her, his information was to try dry kibbles for seven-year plus canines, so I purchased a small bag to try it out. Finally! She is eating something she likes.

Every second day I feed her Raw Real Animal Wellness it is 100% Australian made, and it comes in 220-gram portions. Included are fruit plus vegetables, vitamins and minerals, fish oil, and it is high in Omega 3 and 6. Preservative-free, Grain and Gluten-Free, and it is suitable for adult and senior dogs.

I placed a portion into her bowl, without the dry food and you guessed it she did not eat it. I tried mixing it with dry food, and she refused to eat it so, I threw it out.

I armed myself with a plastic fork as this is the only one Zara tolerates better than all the other utensils I’ve tried. I took a portion of the raw food and proceeded to feed her directly from the fork.
DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG WITH A PLASTIC FORK! IT Can be dangerous.

Zara associates raw mushy food with a plastic fork, and that is how I get her to eat it.

See the video below, and then you will see what my cameraman saw, and he could not help chuckling. He told me he has never seen anything like it. His dog is not as fussy and will eat directly from her bowl.

Approximately in August,2020 I gave up feeding my dog with a plastic fork. I now feed my dog a bowl of dry kibbles and I sprinkle a super blend of nutrients on top of the dry and coat every kibble by mixing it in her bowl.

She is a changed dog since taking this super nutritional blend and for an older dog she is doing quite well in running, walking and jumping. People tell me how young she looks and are surprised when I tell them she is twelve years old this year 2021.
