An anal itch (itching bottom) can be aggravated by continually scratching the skin and worsening it.
Many of the following may be causes:
When sitting for long periods of time, tight clothing, poor hygiene, sweat, worms, thrush, rashes, piles, chemical irritants in soaps, lotions and some toilet paper.
All avenues have to be investigated to find out the cause of the discomfort of anal itching, and another reason could be due to parasitic infection, only a healthcare professional can diagnose this condition.
I wrote an article called “Parasites in the body – What’s eating you, me and everybody else on the inside.

The other causes could be anal bleeding or pain, piles, bowel disorders. Ulcers or Anal fissures – splits in the skin lining in the anal passage made by passing hard faecal waste.
Anal pains that occur occasionally and disappear after a few hours and then do not recur are probable muscular spasms.
In the meantime a self-help relief, which I used to relieve the itch:
* Wash the affected area gently using warmed water only.
* Use a soft towel and pat it dry do not rub.
Make this preparation beforehand:
* You will need one drop of peppermint oil in about three tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
* Apply this preparation each time after washing.
I have found this concoction to work for me in relieving the itch, and I had a wonderful nights sleep without interruption.
When it comes to your anal itch, always consult a healthcare professional when pain persists and where there is bleeding.
