Silverbeet Casserole recipe by Natures Trinity
Silverbeet Casserole
Ingredients:
- One large brown-skinned onion
- Half a large tomato
- Three cherry tomatoes
- A pinch of Himalayan salt
- One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- A dash of extra virgin olive oil
- A teaspoon of plant-based vegetable stock
- powder
- Water
Preparation:
- Separate the silverbeet stems and leaves and cut them into smaller pieces.
- Remove the skin from the onion and finely dice
- Slice half a large tomato and quarter it—slice three cherry tomatoes.
Method:
- TTo a non-stick frypan, add the following:
- Add enough water to cover the base of the frypan. Add a dash of extra virgin olive oil to the water once only.
- Add all the vegetables as mentioned earlier to the frypan for semi steaming.
- Add a teaspoon of stock powder to a cup and add boiling water to a level above the powder. Allow it to stand for a few seconds and stir.
- Pour over the steaming vegetables and gently toss all the ingredients together.
Some suggestions:
Use this casserole with rice, pasta, potatoes whole and or mashed, bread, etcetera.
