Get ready for a delightful dish that’s bursting with a variety of raw and frozen mixed vegetables. Each brings a unique freshness and flavour to the table, delighting every bite.
Basmati Rice;
Prepare a pot with two cups of water and one cup of Basmati Rice.
Use the absorption method and bring it to a boil.
Add a pinch of Himalayan Pink Salt to the water and stir in.
Once the water has evaporated, please remove it from the heat and cool.
Mix thoroughly with a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the rice.
Add a sprinkling of Turmeric to the rice to make it yellow.
Raw Vegetables;
Add one tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to a stewing pan.
Fill it halfway with water and carefully add all the raw vegetables.
This precise process ensures that each vegetable retains its unique flavour and texture.
One brown onion, remove the outer skin and dice.
Four broccoli florets trim into smaller pieces.
Grate the carrot in the large oblong holes of the grater.
Remove the skin of the two small garlic cloves, dice and spread evenly.
Cut a quarter of a Red Bell Pepper into strips and dice.
One cube of (MASSEL) Vegetable Stock Cube: This is the only stock cube I can use as I am highly allergic to Monosodium Glutamate (MSG).
I have used this brand for many years without any adverse reactions.
Cut the stock cube into thin slices and spread around the stewing pan evenly.
Raw vegetables take slightly longer to cook than frozen vegetables, so they are placed first into the water.
Add the frozen vegetables when the water starts to boil.
Add the yellow rice when the water starts to reduce and mix thoroughly.
Frozen Vegetables:
Each brand consists of various winter vegetables.
Some examples are carrots, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, corn, zucchini, brussels sprouts and potatoes.
To Eva Major of Werribee, Australia, who suggested adding two ingredients to the rice.
One was turmeric to make the rice yellow, and the other was a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil so the rice grains would separate when mixed with different foods.
