Immune Booster Smoothie recipe by: Natures Trinity

(Serves 2)

Ingredients:

Fruit:

Immune Booster SmoothieHalve all mentioned fruits below and include a whole small banana. Remove skins where applicable except for the pear and apple. Discard the seeds from the pear, apple and orange.

  • Banana
  • Pear
  • Apple
  • Orange
  • Leave the skin on the Lemon and cut into a thin slice, remove the seeds.
  • Scrape the skin off before cutting a small slice of ginger.

Greens:

A small handful of washed and ready to eat salad blends of baby leaves may include coral lettuce, shredded carrot, beet and kale.

  • Remove the peppermint leaves from two branches.
  • Cut a thin slice across the stalks of spring onions.
  • Do the same for the celery include the leaves if there are any otherwise leave out.
  • Add a tiny piece of garlic to the mix.
  • Add a half large or a whole small carrot to the blend; it will change the taste to sweeter.

Super Foods:

A small heaped teaspoon of the following required;

  • Maca Powder
  • Hemp Seeds
  • Chia Seeds
  • Coconut Flour
  • Linseeds or Flaxseeds

Spices:

A sprinkling of each of the following spices;

  • Black Peppercorns
  • Cinnamon
  • Turmeric
  • Star Anise choose only a leaf.

Add a medium glass of filtered water to the blender. It will help the blades to get a smooth start.

Be creative and use this recipe as a guideline. If you don’t have an ingredient or do not like it, leave it out, taste it and then decide to try something else or leave it.

Remember a little goes a long way!
