Garlic, Ginger and Walnuts Smoothie

Garlic Ginger and Walnuts Smoothie recipe by Natures Trinity

Serves 2

Add two cups of filtered water to the blender to assist the blades.

Ingredients:

Garlic Ginger and Walnuts SmoothieFruit:

  • Half a peeled orange
  • Half an apple, leave the skin on and remove the seeds.
  • Half a pear leave the skin on and discard the seeds.
  • One mandarin, remove the peel and discard.
  • Add one banana and remove the skin.
  • Outside guidelines of the rockmelon /cantaloupe indicate how much to cut. Lately, I have included the seeds as well.

Greens:

  • A small handful of Pre-packaged mixed Baby Leaves
  • Two branches of mint, remove the leaves and add to the blender.
  • Add a branch of fresh parsley or a teaspoon of dried.
  • Add fresh Fennel leaves or a teaspoon of dried.
  • Add three leaves from the fresh rosemary bush to the blender/or use dried.

Spices:

  • 1/8 tsp hot Chilli
  • 1/8 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp Sage
  • 1/8 tsp of Dutch Cinnamon
  • Add three full turns of fresh peppercorns to the mix to the blender.

Garlic, Ginger and Walnuts Smoothie ingredientsOther:

  • A thin slice of ginger and remove the skin.
  • Add a quarter of the garlic clove remove the outer skin and discard.
  • One teaspoon of coconut flour.
  • One teaspoon of Maca.

Nuts:

  • Five whole walnuts

Seeds:

  • One teaspoon of the following seeds is required.
  • Chia, Hemp, Pepita and Linseed meal

 

P.S. I share this smoothie with a friend every morning, and we enjoy it. My friend does not like Ginger or Walnuts, having it in this smoothie gives it an excellent taste; however, if you don’t like an ingredient, leave it out or replace it.
