My Top 10 Health and Nutrition Hints

Here’s my top 10 health and nutrition hints, things that I’ve learned over many years of trial and error.

Health and Nutrition Hint #1: Good nutrition is essential for a healthier and longer life. It should contain fruit and vegetables, legumes and grains.

Never overcook anything, but serve in a state of firmness!

Health and Nutrition Hint #3: A meal should consist of a variety of nutrients! It is better to combine a meal with small amounts of various foods, than a meal of just two or separate ingredients.

Health and Nutrition Hint #4: Not all minerals and vitamins and enzymes are present in every form of food, but varying with each and a variety of same assures a better chance of getting some of everything than a confined quantity, or too much repetition of the same.

Health and Nutrition Hint #5: Why not make dishes from day to day, containing different vegetables each day, covering all or most of what’s available!

Health and Nutrition Hint #6: Include plenty of fruit in the diet! “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” was not meant to be a meaningless saying.

Health and Nutrition Hint #7: Vitamin C is contained in almost all vegetation, and rightly so, for it is what we need most of – to ward off colds and flu and the fighting off many disorders! Broccoli, brussell sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower should be eaten more frequently as they are now known to prevent and even help towards the cure for cancer.

Health and Nutrition Hint #8: Garlic DOES NOT SMELL when used in cooking and it is a ‘wonder food’ preventing all sorts of sicknesses and disorders, and a small clove in a meal is recommendable as well as the healing powers of herbs!

Health and Nutrition Hint #9: These days I am on a Vegan Diet which supports all the above points. However, I do take supplementation including minerals for my health and well-being, and I eat more raw food than cooked.

Health and Nutrition Hint #10: Another hint, when boiling potatoes do not throw the water out, keep it and use to mash the potatoes or have it as a base for another vegetable soup.
